YEAH!!! Just tried out my new 50mm 1.4 today, and I *already* LOVE it so much!!! It seems like what I've been learning, what I was doing wasn't giving the results I expected (with my kit lens)...and can see now that this lens will cooperate much better :) So here is something about me: I love country decor...anything rustic looking, or anything that truly is antique...love them both!! My settings: ISO 400 AV mode 1/125, ap 1.4
I had set this up on the floor in front of my livingroom window...I like the focus, and dof, but not that the little runner underneath has no focus....but anywho.. ALL CC VERY MUCH WELCOMED!!! Thx for stopping by and checking out my blog today! Have a good Thursday *smile*

Ohhh, I am just a teensy bit jealous, I want that lens bad! Nice shot! It looks just a bit underexposed to me, but a defog and some sharpening for web might do the trick. Can you pst an edited version next to the SOOC one?
Sure! I'd love to play with this...but will wait until tonight when the kiddos are in bed. Thx for your comments Lauren! I thought it looked underexposed too... here is a dumb question...how can you tell in camera? I think it tells me when i'm looking through the viewfinder, am I wrong? I've always been too embarrassed to ask that!
Congrats on the new lens! To see a histogram, during play back on your camera click on the disp button (top left) two times, you peak should be somewhere in the middle. That has been helpful for me with this camera since it underexposes quite a bit at times. I look forward to seeing more of your images in the future!
