What IS this?

I bought it in a bag that said it was a plant. It's kinda spongy and sort of reminds me of a mushroom? So this is my POTD in keeping with theme :) Please tell me what you think it might be exactly!? Thx for stopping in, CC welcome (I just loaded it, and see the dark shadows or blue colors in the bottom right and top left corners...?) I'll try to get rid of that and repost, this is sooc

Settings: Manual mode, Window light, 1/40 ss, f/ 3.2 ISO 400 - SOOC

It can't be an actual living plant is it? Is is a shape man made from a plant? Either way, It does make a cool subject! I like the blue in the corners, maybe is in a vingette, or was there something in the background?
Anyway, neat object, whatever it is!! =)

That is so unusual! I agree with Lorrie about the blue in the corners, I like it.

I love this shot. The low F stop blurs the background and makes you focus on the subject. The natural light is great. When i saw it I instantly felt like i was looking in some William Sonoma catalog.

new to the boards! HI!

Wow thx everyone! I did a google on Sola Balls....and it was man made...out of a wood. Glad you liked the set up :) I'm so used to taking pictures of my kids only, so it's fun to play around with stand still objects ;)
